Meet the 4th Grade Team (minus Mrs. Kraus):
Ms. Karasick
Mrs. C
Ms. Buchman
Mr. McCulloch
Welcome to CYOA (Choose Your Own Adventure) Time!
If our class earns more happy tallies than sad tallies for our 3-2-1 countdown, we earn 10 minutes of free choice to end our day on Friday.
We can play recess games, get creative with coloring and craft supplies,
read, and play teacher approved apps.
We like exploring the new things in Room 44.
Our class is a bonus family.
We decorated puzzle pieces so we can see how we bring our own uniqueness as we come together to make our whole puzzle.
The final produce will be posted soon!
The class has the opportunity to have lunch with Mrs. C.
We enjoyed chatting about our favorites, upcoming plans, sharing jokes, and just hanging out!
We have fun with our fourth grade friends during our morning break.
We worked on a football challenge with friends to determine scores of teams.
When we were done, we worked on putting the teams in order from least to greatest.
For this activity we had to use addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division!
What a way to get our brains turned on!
We learned how to compose a "proper email" as we applied for classroom jobs.
We are working through Growth Mindset activities each day.
This week we learned about Growth Mindset (I can improve at something if I practice) vs.
Fixed Mindset (I will not improve no matter what).
We also learned that our brain is a muscle that can get stronger with practice.
Ms. Schippers gave us the tour of the LMC.
We explored and checked out books.
More morning break fun with other 4th graders!
We decorated our locker tags to make them unique!
In math, we explored an exciting game called "24."
We can add, subtract, multiply, and divide using all 4 numbers to equal 24.
This is definitely a class favorite!
We started a new school challenge... to walk 1,000 laps around the field.
The kids are really into walking/running during morning break. I forgot to take a picture of how many laps we completed so far this week.
We like to walk and talk!
